Davao City is home to the durian fruit known for its “foul smell” yet “heavenly taste.” It is also known for its Bamboo Cuisine the way how the indigenous people of the region cook their meals.

The city’s other claim to culinary fame is its “grilled bariles” (tuna dipped in soy sauce and local lemon), fried ice cream and local sweets. So fly like the Philippine Eagle and taste the flavors of Davao!

Itinerary

Day 1 Manila/ Davao City (Kabundukuan) Board morning flight from Manila to Davao City. Immediate transfer to Hotel for check-in. Sugbahan lunch at Dencio’s Hilltop with durian ice-cream demo. Visit Durian candy shops and try durian pie and durian cappucino for snacks. Visit the Davao Museum. End the day with Kaimunan dinner featuring bamboo culinary with Cultural Performance at Waterfront Hotel. (lunch, snacks, dinner)

Day 2 Davao (Kabundukan at Kadagatan) Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Eden Nature Park for Davao Fresh fruits crepes and coolers. Then proceed to the Philippine Eagel Park. For lunch, try this “naiibang pagka-lunch” with ostrich burrito and feta with carabao cheese, bignay wine making and tableya torte… In the afternoon, visit the crocodile farm. Afterwards, try the unique Fried durian ice cream fried at your table… Fruity face and body scrubs/ spa or reflexology are optional activities. (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner) Tuna-tunahan is served for dinner which features the province’s other delicacy the tuna cooked in various ways. After dinner, try the fresh durian at the Durian Park.   Day 3 Davao/Manila (Pasalubong) Breakfast at hotel Shop for pasalubong (take-home items) at the city’s well-known arts and crafts centers and fruits stands. Lunch at the airport. End of tour. (breakfast, lunch)
