Depart for Taal, Batangas (via Cuenca)

Department of Tourism Building, Kalaw St Side

Breakfast stop in Sto Tomas with freshly fried “ tawilis “ ( fresh water fish harvested only in Taal Lake) and other Batangas breakfast fete.

0930 H
Estimated time of arrival (ETA) in Taal, Batangas

Snacks of native delicacies: “sumang malagkit” (glutinous rice wrapped in banana leaves) ; “ bibingkang kanin “ (rice cakes) and “ tamales “





















1000 H
Tour of Heritage Village, Shrine of ‘” Virgen ng Caysasay “ and Taal Church. Proceed to Casa Punzalan for lunch where a truly culinary delight is served:

  • “Itlog na maalat” (Filipino version of century egg mixed with tomatoes and onions)
  • “ Ensaladang pipino or labanos “ (Cucumber or turnip salad )
  • “Ginisang Bagoong Balayan (Sautéed fish paste )
  • “ Adobong Manok at Baboy sa dilaw “ (chicken and pork cooked in special concoction of soy sauce) vinegar , herbs and garlic, flavored with yellow ginger) or
  • “ Tapang Taal “ (marinated choice pork parts, basic soy sauce, local lemon called “ kalamansi“, and enormous amount of garlic) or
  • “ Sinaing na Tulingan “ ( small sized Tuna fish caught in the marine rich waters of Balayan and Batangas Bay simmered in long hours with pork belly cuts and dried “ Kalamya or camias)
  • “ Bulanglang ‘ ( mixed fresh vegetables harvested from the volcano rich soils of Talisay and Mabini Batangas sautéed and simmered in rice washing)
  • “ matamis na saging (caramelized vegetable banana ) with crispy “ pinipig “ (flattened roasted glutenous rice ) and
  • “Gulaman “ (locally processed seaweeds)
  • “ Pampalamig” (Refreshment ) of
  • “Sago" (palm fruit )at Gulaman with iced caramel syrup

Visit “ panutsa “ (caramel peanuts) for food demo. Tour of Taal ends in embroidery shop and balisong (fan knife) blacksmiths for arts and crafts demo and shopping.

1430 H ETD for Tagaytay.

1530 H
Proceed to Mahogony Market for best buys of freshly harvested vegetables, fruits, Batangas beef and other agri products. Then, proceed to a coffee plantation. Demo on Alamid coffee (the most expensive coffee) in Indang, Cavite (seasonal). .Snacks with freshly brewed coffee.
